You will create some amount of wealth over time even without a financial plan. Just the normal savings, 401k, insurance, etc. will create some degree of personal wealth. But a plan to create wealth will usually enhance the growth of your wealth. You wouldn’t try to build a building, or even take a vacation, without a plan. However, many people spend more time planning their vacation, than they do planning for their financial future. Financial planning may seem like an almost overwhelming project, but just as with any other project, there are basic principles and philosophies that are foundational. In our planning process, we frequently see people experience “Aha” moments, when a paradigm shift in thinking occurs because of learning about some previously unrecognized financial principle.
